Haystack Rock and the Needles

Located near Cannon Beach on the North coast of Oregon, Haystack Rock is a unique monolith that attracts wildlife and tourists alike. Towering 235 feet over the beach, the Rock is home to nesting seabirds in the summer and marine invertebrates all year long.  It is one of the largest "sea stacks" on America's Pacific coast, and is the third largest monolith in the world. The smaller sea stacks next to it are called the "needles".

I'm using a new technique to produce some of my black and whites...hope you like it!

  1. Beautiful B&W is what makes these powerful and evokes so much emotion. I hope to see more of these HDR photos...they are an amazing Art Form that's here to stay.

  2. Thank you Laurie! Your continued support means so much to me!
