This old passenger car is located at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, Washington.
The Northwest Railway Museum Collection contains representative examples of Northwest railway history including steam and diesel locomotives, freight cars, passenger cars, maintenance of way equipment (used to maintain the right of way), a five mile segment of historic railroad, a nineteenth century train station and thousands of publications. All of these "artifacts" offer some insight into the significance railroads played in the development of the Northwest.
This is so awesome too! It looks like a painting! What a great composition!

ReplyDeleteSuch intriguing textures and color! I posted another link on the Northwest Railway Museum's Facebook page so more of our fans will learn of your work (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Snoqualmie-WA/Northwest-Railway-Museum/128846877072). Say, would you be willing to vote for and spread the word about a rare 1898 wooden railway car in our collection, one of 25 historic preservation projects competing for Partners for Preservation funding? With your help, we may increase our standing enough to receive a portion of the funding. Will you please vote and encourage others to vote once a day every day thru May 12 for "Chapel Car 5 Messenger of Peace" at http://www.PartnersInPreservation.org? More info about the car at http://www.MessengerOfPeace.org. Anyone anywhere can vote. Many, many thanks!
